Buckinghamshire is a diverse county with a strong identity, encompassing the larger market towns of Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Chesham, a network of smaller market towns, and many villages surrounded by countryside. Its location between London, Oxford and Milton Keynes makes it a well-connected and attractive place to live and work.

The county also has a rich natural and historic environment. Large parts are protected as Green Belt or within the Chilterns National Landscape, and there are many listed buildings, conservation areas and important habitats, across the county
